Computing Activities for Family Historians

  • The society has a Computing Branch which meets in Early. The location moves to Woodley from Oct 2004.
  • A Broadband connection is available at the Research Centre and the computers can be used at any time during open hours to access the Internet. You can search data bases such as the 1901 Census and LDS FamilySearch online and also our large collection of Family History CDs. There is no need to book - just turn up.. On Tuesday Evenings (from 7pm to 9pm) and 2nd Sunday Afternoons experts are normally available to answer computer questions.
  • Ad hoc Computing Workshops are held when announced from time to time on Saturday or Sunday at the Research Centre to help members and non-members in the use of their computer and its software for Family History. These are hands-on sessions and have to be booked.
